Telecom Analyst / Engineer

TELECOM ANALYST / ENGINEER – CONTRACT – ORLANDO, FL

This position is NOT eligible for subcontractors or those that require sponsorship

Telecom Analyst/Engineer Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related technical field and/or related experience with 5+ years of experience. Cisco certifications a plus.
– Knowledge and skills – Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work long hours under pressure during system outages and implementations.
– Technical expertise of telecommunications systems; management and support of complex telecommunications environments and infrastructures. Experience with multiple technologies such as, but not limited to Cisco IP Unified Communication Systems, Cisco Routers and Voice Gateways, voice networks including VoIP transmission, SIP, QoS, voice mail, Telco circuits, video conferencing systems, conference calling applications, and ancillary support systems such as e-911 and call accounting systems.
– 5 or more years of experience in the support and development of solutions within complex telecommunications environments. Network engineering background is a plus.
– Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and / or IP Telephony experience required.
o Desktop Telephone Support
o IP Telephony Configuration and Support
o IP Telephony MACD
o IP Telephony Troubleshooting and repair
o IP Telephony Call Routing Experience

Telecom Analyst/Engineer Pluses:
o Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Routers and Voice Gateways; Network engineering background a plus.
o Cisco certifications are a plus.

Telecom Analyst/Engineer Responsibilities:
– Operational responsibilities include performing MACDs, troubleshooting and repair, managing vendor performance, maintaining high levels of system and user documentation, adherence to operational processes and policies, solution reliability, system security, compliance, and proactive monitoring through automated tools and daily testing.
– Position provides infrastructure support and testing for system patching, hardening, and hardware/software upgrades, system updates, and break/fix activities on telecommunications equipment.
– The position works closely with engineers, analysts, IT peers, outside vendors, outside expert resources, internal technical and business resources to evaluate, develop, and propose innovative new technologies, methodologies, processes, and other improvements aimed at improving the effectiveness of the organization.
– This position must maintain expert level understanding and knowledge of the company’s telecommunications applications, IT processes, telecommunications and data systems integration, and must be able to understand changes needed within the environment in order to anticipate business, customer, cross-system, cross-process, and cross-project impacts.

Telecom Analyst (Avaya)

TELECOM ANALYST (AVAYA) – CONTRACT – ORLANDO, FL

Telecom Analyst Skills & Requirements

-Experience with Avaya Communication Manager Call Routing and Vectoring
-Knowledge of TSAPI, DMCC, Avaya SIP, RTP and TCP/IP protocols
-Ability to perform SIP debugging with Wireshark and other tools to capture/analyze SIP
-Knowledge of VoIP QoS
-NICE system/call recording platform
-2 years’ experience with PSTN (public switched telephone network) Carrier networks
-Perform server and file administration using Windows RDP, Putty, Terminal Emulators, FTP/SFTP clients
-Familiar with Linux/Unix operating system and or related subsystems
-IVR (interactive voice response) and CTI (computer telephony integration) experience

Pluses:
-Associates/Bachelor’s degree
-SBC (session border controllers)
-Experience with toll free routing using AT&T Route-IT!
-Experience with Noble Enterprise
-Experience with Interactive Intelligence CICbased applications

CISCO UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS ADMIN – CONTRACT TO PERM – ORLANDO, FL

Workload will primarily consist of Operational Support, Project Work, Troubleshooting and Implementation for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Contact Center platforms.

Cisco Unified Communications Admin Summary & Skills:

• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience or relevant technical trade school/training.
• 3 years’ experience with Cisco collaboration products.
• Substantial experience with and knowledge of Cisco Voice Gateways, PSTN connections, Dial Peers, call routing, and Data Network routers and switches.
• Understanding of routing protocols and networking fundamentals.

Highly preferred:
• UCCE, CUPS, CER E911, Unity Connection, VoIP Audio and Video endpoints, Jabber, Expressway C/E, WebEx, Fax Solutions, ACD, IVR, Outbound Dialer, Contact Center application integrations, PSTN connections, Cisco UCS, VMware.
• CCNA Voice/Collaboration certifications or comparable expertise.
• CCNP Voice/Collaboration certifications or comparable expertise.
